Nick Saban Career

Nick began his coaching career as an assistant coach at various schools in NCAA Division 1-A. From 1977 to 1987 Syracuse, West Virginia, Ohio, Navy etc. After these years, he became the assistant coach for the NFL team Houston Oilers. He worked with the Huston Oilers until 1989 and joined the University of Toledo as head coach. After that, Nick became the defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns team in 1990 and remained in that position for four years before joining Michigan State as head coach in 1995.
