He continued his high school baseball career under the coaching of Coach Jon Allen on the Fort Worth Texas Homeschool Educators Sports Association squad and made appearances at several private schools. He made the No. 22 ranking and became the famed Texas right-handed pitcher who was honored with the All-American honorable mention title for the season by Perfect Game.
Freshman Season 2019 with Texas Tech
Of all the major accolades earned during the season, he had the opening credit with such titles as D1Baseball’s Freshman All-America and Big 12 All-Freshman Team. He appeared for 19 games while pursuing his position for the College World Series campaign and had a total of 13 starts. He led his team with the majority of seven wins to the Big 12 freshman title.
2020 sophomore
Micah had 5 games ejected from the bullpen and set the record of 1-0 with 3 saves. He also made the record of 0.57 ERA and strikeouts 23 with 15.2 innings. During the season, he earned the most prestigious title named All-America Second Team by Collegiate Baseball.
2021 Second year season during COVID time
Micah appeared in 17 games with 10 big starts and posted a record of 4-3, along with 2 saves, 3.51 ERA, 66.2 innings and 79 strikeouts. He performed great when he played against Army, where he retired all three batters he faced and hit an NCAA Lubbock Regional save.
Junior Year 2022
During the season, Micah appeared in 9 games with 8 starts and played for Maroon & White while making a 4-1 record with 56 strikeouts and 3.99 ERA. Once while playing against Kentucky, he struckout 5 with 7 innings pitched. In the game against Auburn, where he scored 7 innings, he struckout 10 in the season against the opposition. For the season, he earned the honor of being named SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week after the outstanding performance against Penn, where he struckout 10 and went without runs with 8 innings pitched.
