As per his Facebook profile, Matt Mierswa lived in Manaus, Brazil and he was born in 1988. His full name is Matthew Mierswa currently resides in River Edge, New Jersey, and also spent some time in Glen Rock as well. Matt received his education from Villanova University with a degree of BA in Political Science and Government. Later from 2011 to 2014, he received his doctorate in law from Seton Hall University School of Law.

He defeated William Chou, who wagered all of his amounts in the final round and lost. On 20th July, Mierswa and another competitor Alison Tremble had a good start as both the competitors gave 16 correct answers. Mierswa had the total earnings [till then] as $6000 while Alison was $200 ahead of him. The third competitor Alfred Guy struggled hard with the clue and gave only seven correct answers with five incorrect ones, left with only -$200.
In the final round of Jeopardy on the day of 20th July 2022, both Matt and Alfred gave the right answers to the final question of the episode. Alison gave the wrong answer and lost the wagering amount. While Alfred had total earnings of $10,999 and Matt Mierswa had total earnings of $26,644.
