The whole story
The mother of the children found the bodies of her three children in the bedrooms in the house. Police chief Gilbert Rivera said authorities received a request to check the condition of the house at 1:40 p.m. local time. The request came after the mother was supposed to pick up her children from her “estranged husband.” The mother’s name is Debbie Karels which was revealed after checking her Facebook page where she shared the photos of all her children along with their father Jason. According to her Facebook page, the mother is suspected of working as a waitress at a local restaurant. The children were found dead by the mother in the bedroom. While discovering her dead children, she entered the house and saw the bodies lying on the floor. She immediately called the police, who found three children dead and their father Jason missing from the house. He was immediately found by the police and also the mother as the person of interest. The police officer said the mother would pick up her three children from the doctor’s appointment. Immediately after seeing the dead bodies of the children, the police started investigating and looking for Jason Karels.

How was Jason Karels? The killer was captured?
After Jason Karels’ vehicle was spotted on Interstate 57, Karels led police on a 17-minute high-speed chase, which ended when his car crashed into Interstate 80, west of Chicago. After the crash, Jason was immediately taken into custody. According to police Rivera, Jason Karels was immediately taken into custody after he was suspected of being responsible for the deaths of his three children and successfully attempted to kill them. Karels was taken to a nearby hospital and the three children were confirmed to be Karels’s. On the other hand, it was confirmed that the three children died from drowning. According to Rivera, the police have not yet looked into the information about the relationship between the parents and the recent situation of the family. However, it is said that Karels lived in a house on Camden Lane. The blood at the scene also turned out to be unrelated to one of the three children. On the other hand, Karels revealed on the body camera that he wanted to hurt himself. It is not yet clear whether or not Karels was previously involved in criminal activities.
